TUESDAY 30-Minute Mat Pilates, 9:00am - 9:30am Start your morning with an invigorating half hour of Pilates-based mat exercises designed to strengthen your core, imporove posture, increase flexibility, and build upper body strength. Prior Pilates experience helpful but not required. You will need a mat, hand-held weights, and a resistance band. Starts September 8 Fee: $35
Move, Stretch, and Strengthen, 10:00am - 11:00am This class combines low-impact, easy-paced aerobic exercises and music to improve your cardiovascular system, stamina, balance, and overall agility. Class concludes with strength training using hand-held weights, and balance exercises. Starts September 8 Fee: $50

Pilates Ball Workout, 11:30am - 12:30pm Tone and strengthen your core, increase upper body strength, and improve your flexibility and balance in this intermediate level class using a large exercise ball to add challenge and variety to Pilates-based movements. Better Bones and Posture, 1:00pm - 2:00pm In this gentle Pilates-based fitness program you will practice safe and effective standing, seated, and floor exercises designed to improve posture and balance, increase strength and flexibility, and reduce your risk for falls. You will need a mat, hand-held weights (both lighter: 1- to 2-pound, and heavier: 3- to 6-pound), a resistance band, a large pillow, and small towel. Starts August 19 Fee: $50

My classes are offered through the San Mateo Adult School's Active Adults (formerly "50-Plus") program and are designed for adults 60 and up. Classes do not meet on holidays.
